Such beautiful photographs, and such an adoring eye. I love the notion of seeing more in what is familiar - The folded hands that tell a lifetime of stories, the doorways, the street we are walking along. Amanda is amazing.
I love each and every photo. I, too, have a wandering eye, but at 82, I often live through a more narrow window. Your world inspires me to recall memories. I’m sure this is why I’ve over 18,000 images stored in my photos. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your comment Linda- this opportunity to share on Substack sent me back through many years of photos! Between my phone and my computer I’m over 32,000 images and that doesn’t include all the pre-digital slides and negatives! I clearly need to pare down and edit but they’re like old friends I hate to say goodbye to!
If you’ve room to save them do so. I only have an iPhone and just before my husband died from Covid in 21 and he was ordering me a new phone, I said get me one with most memory possible. (I’m 82 now) and no need for me to worry yet, but on occasion I go back unconsciously seeking memories and photos to delete now.
And then there's something essential to say about seeking and finding what's new in what's old, the colors and textures and expressions of Naples, so ancient a place, revealed in so present a way. Truly a gift. Thank you for sharing it.
An eye for beauty and humanity that is captured in your travel and images of daily life wherever you go. Proud of you dear sister, and so happy you have been able to practice your craft for all of us to enjoy!!
I am 3 days post cataract surgery and reading is difficult. I thought I would open the Substack and give i a try, and was happy to find beautiful photos. I was unaware I had lost so much color vision. What a beautiful world it is! Thanks you Amanda for sharing your gift and talent with the readers.
You need a special category for Amanda. She is a superstar in the skies.

Congratulations. Great new space.
Dear Amanda,
